Cash for Clunkers Program is poised to be signed into law as part of a  $106 billion wartime spending bill.  For new car buyers, the bill will provide much needed relief in the form of vouchers worth up to $4,500 that can be used towards the purchase of a new, fuel efficient car.

Consumers are encouraged to get all of the facts on the bill’s provisions and learn whether or not their car or truck would qualify as a Cash for Clunker trade-in.   The site is located at http://www.cashforclunkersfacts.com  and is the #1 destination for consumers seeking information on the bill.  Cars that are currently worth more than $4,500 would not qualify for the program.

Consumer interest in the Cash for Clunkers bill has skyrocketed .  Traffic to www.cashforclunkersfacts.com  surpassed previous records on Thursday when the Senate approved the spending provision in the late afternoon.

Interest started to increase earlier this week when the House approved an initial $1 billion in funding for the bill.  Then, late afternoon on June 18th Cash for Clunkers made its way past Republican Senators who tried to block the program from being added to a $106 billion war funding bill.  Senators voted 60-to-36 to keep the bill alive.

Senator Debbie Stabenow gave an emotional plea to keep the CFC provision in the spending bill because of how important the auto industry is to main street America.

CashforClunkersFacts.com is dedicated to helping consumers understand the bill as well as see if their car qualifies for a trade-in voucher.  The website allows consumers to search for competitive price quotes for the new vehicle of their choice.  The website has also started a mailing list for those who want to receive alerts and updates as well as be informed when the bill passes.
