The 2010 S2000 is a 2-door, 2-passenger convertible sports car, available in 3 trims, ranging from the 6-Spd MT to the CR A/C 6-Spd MT. A 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission is equipped to the S2000, producing 237 horsepower and 162 pounds-feet of torque.
The S2000 has a stiff suspension, and comes with a molded top cover (body-colored hardtop optional) and leather-trimmed bucket seats. All-disc anti-lock brakes come standard. The CR trim is also available in 2009, with standard aluminum hardtop, specially designed aerodynamic front spoiler and rear wing, upgraded suspension, and cloth seats with synthetic suede trimmings.
The air conditioning and radio are optional and for additional weight savings the sound insulation, spare tire and jack, and convertible soft top have been removed on the CR.

There are two versions of the Honda S2000 roadster, the standard version and the racetrack-oriented CR. Notable hardware on both includes a feisty inline-4 with an 8,200-rpm redline coupled to a short-throw six-speed manual gearbox. Without resorting to forced induction (turbo- or supercharging), this jewel of an engine utilizes Honda’s variable valve timing and lift system (VTEC) to squeeze 237 horsepower out of just 2.2 liters. No automatic transmission is available.
Standard features on the S2000 include a power-operated top with a glass rear window (with defroster), lightweight 17-inch wheels, leather seats, keyless entry, air-conditioning, an eight-speaker CD audio system, stability control and HID headlights. A lightweight (44 pounds) aluminum hardtop is optional.
The CR differs in that it deletes the power top, A/C and stereo to reduce weight, it also has track-oriented suspension settings, a beefed-up structure for higher rigidity, a removable hardtop and extroverted, more aerodynamic bodywork.
The S2000 sports a powerful, 2.2-liter, high revving engine while the high X-bone monocoque frame provides excellent rigidity and load distribution.
Are you ready for 237 hp at 7800 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque at 6800 rpm? And with the S2000’s performance-oriented suspension, you’re in store for a rush of adrenaline.
The factory-tuned, lighter weight S2000 CR provides more aggressive and track-oriented suspension settings, increased body and chassis rigidity and aerodynamic spoilers tuned for reduced lift and enhanced balance at high track-racing speeds.
While the anti-lock braking system (ABS) helps you maintain steering control during hard stops, the power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes and Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with traction control add a further measure of stopping power and sure-footedness.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the pressure in all four tires, and alerts the driver if pressure in any tire becomes significantly low.
The S2000 offers added protection thanks to side-impact door beams and other body reinforcements to door pads, side sills and floor of the cockpit.
Remote entry, power windows, mirrors, door locks and an electrically powered soft top with glass rear window ease your access. Stow your gear in the center console storage compartment and large door pockets.
A digital, easy-to-read instrument panel reports vital information. The electrically powered soft top and integrated roll-bar speakers stand ready.
Slide down into the leather seats, set the electronically controlled air conditioning to your ideal zone. Intuitively-placed left-hand audio-system controls and steering wheel-mounted cruise control keep you seamlessly connected even while under way. All systems go. Jet pilots shouldn’t get to have all the fun.
